Candlesticks forms the basis of the Technical analysis in the field of stocks, currency or forex trading. Candlesticks give you an idea of how to make judgement over the next course of action of the market. They will convey you whether you should keep your bias bullish or bearish for the upcoming few sessions by their structures(i.e. body and shadows). One or more candlesticks forms a pattern which together gives you an idea of which side of the markets ,the buyers or the sellers are governing the markets . If you see the market as a battlefield of the buyers and the sellers , the candlesticks will give you a session by session report of the battlefield so that you can bet on the winning party. Features of Candlestick: Every candlestick has “Open” “Close” “High” and “Low” Open: Open represents the opening price of the timeframe, which the candlestick represents. Close: Close represents the closing price of the timeframe. High: The highest price movement that was recorded during the timeframe. Low: The Lowest price movement that was recorded during the timeframe. Green Candlestick: When candlestick is of Green color then bulls (buyers) controlled the market in that given timeframe and tried to capitalize on that by forcing the price as high as possible. The green candle forms when the “Close” price was above the “Open” price. It is also known as “Hollow Candlestick”. The buying pressure is high in such candles. Some trading platform shows White color instead of Green to represent this candlestick.
